"Do remember that the traveler will often find an exquisite delight in what the guidebooks pass by with indifference. Do remember that the October weekend the traveler’s life is supposed to change forever may not, in fact, be the weekend life changes forever."

A Satchel Guide to Cap Ferret is a short story about a weekend in Cap Ferret, near Arcachon, in southwest France. Inspired by turn-of-the-century travel guides, it's an exploration of what it feels like to look at a relationship from far, far away, with the gaze of a visitor.

This is for you if you:

✅ like to read words
✅ have enjoyed my writing style and IG posts in the past
✅ want to give me $2
✅ are obsessed with all things Europe/France
✅ want a secret glimpse into a fictionalized version of my life

This is not for you if you:

❎ don’t believe in the value of literature
❎ you don’t have $2
❎ are looking for more than 1,000 words
❎ hate stories about love and oysters 🦪

The base price is $2 but you can give more if you like, just type the price you want.

This will be a downloadable PDF, and you may experience a small delay in receiving the file (as Gumroad has to process the file and apply the individualized buyer stamp). This can take a few minutes depending on the file size, but once it's processed, you'll receive a download link in your email receipt.
